Stage highlights range from Young Dramatists' Project's new season to 'Motherhood the Musical'

1 Almost Strangers

2 Young Dramatists' Project

The Young Dramatists' Project's 11th season opens at 7 tonight and runs through June 12 at Gorilla Theatre, Tampa. The lineup includes Have You Ever? by Jaime O'Brien (Academy of the Holy Names), One Summer by Jennifer Van Gelder (Shorecrest Prep), Waiting for Abigail by Ana Krsmanovic and Hannah Mribiha (Northeast High), Hermosa Extrano: Beautiful Stranger by Zachary Mullen (Freedom High) and Just the Beginning by Emily Pittman (Plant High). $10-$25, with $5 tickets for high school and middle school students. One minute George Gershwin, the next Leonard Bernstein. 4 The Seven Deadly Plays / American Duet

The work of a pair of bay area playwrights is featured in rotating performances from Friday through June 17 at the Studio@620, St. Petersburg.
