Pet of the week: Marcy the 1-year-old German shepherd mix

 Marcy is a pretty 1-year-old German shepherd mix. She is happy and energetic, and loves to play ball. Marcy enjoys a lot of attention and belly rubs. She would prefer to be the only pet in the house. Inquiries about adopting Marcy or other dogs and cats can be made at the Humane Society of the Nature Coast shelter at Wiscon and Mobley roads, Brooksville. Visiting hours at the shelter is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. The shelter is run strictly on donations; no government subsidies are provided.
