Much has been made of the youthful Barack Obama's appeal to college kids and 20-somethings. Just as much has been said — in the opposite direction — about John McCain's age. • McCain was born in 1936 during the Great Depression. Obama, who made his debut in 1961, is almost a Gen X-er.
