General Electric-digital coffee makers

Company: Walmart Stores Inc.

Quantity: 900,000.

Why? The coffee maker can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.

What models? General Electric-brand 12-cup coffee makers sold in white or black. The digital coffee maker has programmable functions and plastic housing. The GE logo is printed on the base of the coffee maker and the model number is printed on the bottom of the base. Model numbers included in the recall are 169164 and 169165.

Where sold? Walmart from March 2008-January 2010.

Woven storage trunks

Company: Target Corp.

Quantity: 350,000.

Why? The lid of the trunk can drop suddenly when released, posing a strangulation hazard to small children opening or reaching into the trunks.

What models? Fourteen models of the storage trunks made of woven rattan, abaca or banana leaf with standard hinges. They measure more than 1.1 feet in length, width and depth and are brown or natural color.

Caldwell alfalfa sprouts

Company: Caldwell Fresh Foods.

Quantity: All.

Why? The alfalfa sprouts may be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

What models? Caldwell Fresh Foods 4-ounce plastic cups and 1-pound plastic bags and 2-pound and 5-pound plastic bags in cardboard boxes with sticker affixed with the printed words Caldwell Fresh Foods; Nature's Choice 4-ounce plastic cups; and California Exotics brands 5-ounce plastic clamshell containers.

Lithium-ion batteries used in some laptops

Company: Hewlett-Packard Co.

Quantity: 54,000.

Why? The recalled lithium-ion batteries can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard.

What models? HP and Compaq notebook computers. The computer model number is located at the top of the service label on the bottom of the notebook computer. Not all batteries matching the bar codes are being recalled. For the full list, see

Nissan vehicles

Why? A potentially faulty weld could lead to separation at attachment points to the chassis and deteriorating vehicle handling.

What models? 2010 Infiniti QX56; and Nissan Armada, Frontier, Pathfinder, Titan and Xterra.

Ameristep Plastic Strap-On Tree Step

Company: Primal Vantage Co. Inc.

Why? The plastic portion of the step can break, posing a fall hazard.

What models? A plastic tree step that attaches to a tree via a nylon strap and a large metal buckle is used to climb a tree in order to hunt from an elevated position. Models 105 and 155 both have either a 10/08 or 12/08 date code, which is stamped on the plastic portion of the step.

Cummins Power Generation gaseous-fueled stationary generator sets, fueled by propane or natural gas, with these model numbers listed on the nameplate at the front base of the unit: residential models RS15000, RS20000, and RS30000. These units also have serial number A050734102 through L068998479 and "Cummins Power Generation" listed on the generator nameplate..
