Tell Me About It: A few dates later: Reach out or move on?

Q: I've been out with a guy a few times. We seemed to have really awesome chemistry, but he canceled our last two dates, citing what seemed to be very legit reasons. He also said he wouldn't be able to get together for the rest of the month because he was behind on work, but that he was looking forward to seeing me next month.

Now it's next month and I have heard nothing. Do I text and ask what's up and risk seeming too eager? Or do I let it go and assume he is not that into me?

To Text or Not to Text

A: In favor of getting in touch: Who cares if he thinks you're too eager?

In favor of not getting in touch: You already know as much as you need to know.

Thank boyfriend for hosting you then make new place your own

Q: A few months ago, my apartment was burglarized. The burglar left all doors and windows locked — and these are bolt locks, meaning you need a key, so I believe it was someone with a key, like my landlord or someone close to him. Given that, I couldn't stay there. I opted to move in with my boyfriend temporarily. Now I've been approved for a new place, and he's sulking about my moving out. How can I do damage control here?

Moving Out

A: Don't do any damage control at all. Simply say how grateful you are that he took you in, and how confident you are this is the right move given that it's so early in your relationship.
