HUDSON — If Thanksgiving is gone, can Christmas be far behind?

The Christmas season at Show Palace Dinner Theatre starts officially on Nov. 26 with A Show Palace Christmas Spectacular. It's filled with nostalgia with a strong Christian flavor: a Christmas tree, more than 45 Christmas carols and Christmas stories.

The 14 singers and dancers in the show include a dozen Show Palace veterans and two newcomers — Alexis Harter, a Clearwater native who has played many supporting roles at other theaters since graduating from Emerson College, and Brittany Ambler, a recent graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University who has performed as Inga in Young Frankenstein and Sugar Plum Fairy in Shrek at other venues.

Choreographer/director Jill Godfrey, a familiar face both on stage (The Addams Family) and behind the scenes (director, stage manager or choreographer for many shows), has put together songs and dances sure to inspire the Christmas spirit. Matty Colonna, a frequent performer at the Show Palace (The Andrews Brothers, Route 66, My Way, Paul in A Chorus Line), is the musical director, playing piano and guiding the musical direction of the show.

Familiar faces include Steve Jones (Baby John in West Side Story, A Chorus Line), Kevin Korczynski (Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Patrick Marshall Jr. (Jacob in La Cage Aux Follies), Caitie L. Moss (Suzy in The Marvelous Wonderettes), Alexus Nagy (Frenchy in Grease, Kristine in A Chorus Line), Lindsay Nantz (Penny in Hairspray), Bo Price (Greg in A Chorus Line), Jonathan Scott Roth (Young Scrooge in A Christmas Carol), Brianna Trier (The Addams Family), Adam T. Biner (Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me Kate), Colleen Campbell (Betty Jean in The Marvelous Wonderettes) and Jay R. Goldberg (Uncle Fester in The Addams Family.)

Over the years, the Show Palace's holiday show has become a favorite destination for office parties, out-of-town visitors, family reunions and a first-time theater-goers. The dinner is always seasonally appropriate and the show fast-paced and colorful.
