Tim Gunn slams Gosselin

Yes, yes, we know we said we'd cut back on the Jon Gosselin news, but when uber-fashionista Tim Gunn has something to say, we listen up. The guy gets to be Iron Man in a comic book, for crying out loud! The Project Runway Yoda says that the slovenly dad of eight has a real problem coming out of the closet: "In (Jon's) case, everything is too big," Gunn told Us about Gosselin's style. "It is what I refer to as the slobification of America. If you want to dress to feel as though you never got out of bed, then don't get out of bed!"

Heigl ditching 'Grey's Anatomy'

It looks like Katherine Heigl will be leaving Grey's Anatomy this season after all, Entertainment Weekly says. But don't get your hopes up; Izzy will be gone for only five episodes as Heigl goes off to shoot a movie. The shooting schedule of Greg Berlanti's rom-com Life As We Know It will require Dr. Stevens to make a house call starting this month, meaning she'll disappear onscreen in November. That will be around the same time Ellen Pompeo will be on maternity leave, meaning we won't have Izzy or Meredith for a few weeks. Wow, the show may get better in that time.

'Teen Wolf' for MTV

Here's something to howl over: The remake of 1985's Teen Wolf is being imagined as a TV series for MTV. (Because, you know, they need something to show other than music videos.) The original version starred Michael J. Fox (with a later, beastly sequel starring the usually great Jason Bateman). MTV's version also will be set in high school, but will focus more on werewolf mythology and teen romance, says the Hollywood Reporter. "It has more of an American Werewolf in London feel to it," MTV's Liz Gateley told THR. "It has a fresh take and is very different from the original."

Will.i.am wants to play

The Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am is looking for a new gig as a punt returner for the Miami Dolphins, since, you know, he be smokin' fools. In a video at dipdive.com (watch it at blogs.tampabay.com/juice, but mind the language), the 34-year-old Pea tells Fish owner Stephen Ross that the time is ripe to give him a tryout. Yes, him and his blood-red, patent leather cleats. "A lot of people don't know that I've been a Dolphin ever since I was in the 10th grade," he says in the video. "I played football for the Palisades Dolphins. My name was Willie Zoom . . . because I was fast." There's some other stuff involving a bad hat and some ridiculous smack talk about burning defenses, but we'll spare you.

Here's some baby news

Congrats to Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel, who have a brand-new baby boy! Walker Diggs was born on Wednesday to the couple, who are both 38 and got married in 2003, People reports. Meanwhile, back on MTV, Lisa Loeb and her husband Roey Hershkovitz are expecting their first child this winter, People says.
