Bayfront Health Foundation benefits from a new exhibition at the Galleries at Salt Creek, 1600 Fourth St. S, St. Petersburg, opening Saturday and continuing through Nov. 6. "The Art of Healing" features works by 30 artists who are donating 50 percent of their sales to Bayfront. Included will be the collaged paper mosaic Woman in the Light, above, by Allison Massari, a painter who turned to other mediums when she was severely burned in a 1998 car accident that left her with limited hand mobility. Among other exhibiting artists are Carol Dameron, Herb Snitzer, Paul Eppling, Antonio Caparello, Nancy Cervenka, Dr. Ludner Confident, Neverne Covington, Denis Gaston, Lance Rodgers, Rocky Bridges, Duncan McClellan and Owen Sweet.

On Nov. 7, works by 60 artists will be sold during a live auction at Salt Creek. Some of the artists in the auction will be the same as those in the exhibition, but the art will be different.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Admission is free. Tickets for the reception and auction on Nov. 7 are $35, which includes a $25 credit toward any purchase. (727) 893-6148.
