Glass artist Duncan McClellan's style is immediately recognizable. You see one of his intricately etched vessels and you know it's a "Duncan." And you find plenty of them when you visit his studio, a beautifully renovated old warehouse with a gallery designed and lit to showcase glass objects. McClellan loves displaying other glass artists, too, and has begun offering temporary exhibitions of his peers with regular hours that make them convenient to see. "Distant Visions" is the most recent, a collection of work by 13 national and international artists that will give you a good sense of the medium's possibilities. It's a generous show, full of the dazzle that makes studio glass so popular with collectors. "Distant Visions" continues through Feb. 25. Duncan McClellan Gallery, 2342 Emerson Ave. S, St. Petersburg, is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Free admission. dmglass.com. Lennie Bennett, Times art critic
