Fernando Botero show at Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg ends Sunday

The fat lady has yet to sing but the show will soon be over. "The Baroque World of Fernando Botero" ends Sunday and the artist's paintings and sculptures will depart the Museum of Fine Arts, 255 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg, including the buxom, smoking nude on its east lawn that prompted mostly glee and, for some, dismay. It's shown here being uncrated in December. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Saturday. Sunday the Botero galleries open at noon; permanent collection galleries are open 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is adults $16, seniors $14 and students $10. The Museum Cafe will offer an Easter Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Go to the museum's Web site for menu and details. Reservations are recommended. fine-arts.org or (727) 896-2667. — Lennie Bennett, Times art critic; photo by Scott Keeler, Times
