Samuel Bak returns to the Florida Holocaust Museum, 55 Fifth St. S, St. Petersburg, for his third exhibition there in eight years. Easy to see why. His paintings are powerful as messages of human culpability. Created in his visceral, old-master style, with intriguing symbols and recurring images, they are also fascinating aesthetic studies. "Icons of Loss: The Art of Samuel Bak" continues through April 25. flholocaustmuseum.org or (727) 820-0100. For a review, see Latitudes on Sunday.
