The venerable Arts Center Sarasota, founded in 1926, became a vibrant and famous gathering place over the years for artists who settled there. An exhibition at the center, 707 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, celebrates the artists' colony with a second installment of "Artists Who Made Sarasota Famous," which continues through Dec. 7. Several dozen artists' works are on view, including Encounter and Remy by Craig Rubadoux. artsarasota.org or (941) 365-2032.
