A new show of floral paintings on silk by Elizabeth Mitchell plus colorful outdoor metal sculptures by Clayton Swartz are on view at "Gardens on Their Minds," a show opening Saturday at Clay and Paper/Painted Fish Gallery, 350 Main St., Dunedin. A free opening reception with the artists is from 5 to 8 p.m. For more information, go to claypaper.com. But wait! You can also see the real flora that same day during Art of the Garden Tour. It's a self-guided event from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. featuring 10 artist-designed gardens throughout the Tampa Bay area, all having artists at each stop with garden-related art for sale.
