Studio Waltz

Let's dance around this free event. The 19th annual Studio Waltz on Saturday lets you cut a wide swath in northern Pinellas County, with chances to visit 10 artists' studios and catch sightings of other artists painting in downtown Dunedin en plein air (which means out of doors). Usually, when you visit a studio, you have to make an appointment. But for the Waltz, you just show up anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. If the weather's good, you can make a day of it. They offer a lot of variety, from jewelry to painting. The studios all are near or between Dunedin and Tarpon Springs, and both cities have charming downtowns with delightful restaurants and cafes. Times food critic Laura Reiley recently wrote a roundup of Tarpon Springs eateries that will give you some delish ideas for a meal. Find a link at links.tampabay.com.
