Tammie Souza, chief meteorologist at WTSP-Ch. 10, will leave St. Petersburg's CBS affiliate Jan. 21, heading to Chicago for a job at Fox station WFLD-TV. Souza, who became the first female chief meteorologist in Tampa Bay TV history when she joined WTSP in October 2008, confirmed back in December that she would be leaving Florida, citing her husband's problems in finding a teaching job locally. Now that her end date in Florida is set, sources in Chicago say she could start at WFLD in February. WTSP officials say they have not yet found a replacement for Souza. "Leaving is bittersweet," Souza told Times TV/media critic Eric Deggans. "I will miss Tampa and WTSP, but in Chicago my family will be in one place, and I not miss another precious day with my son and husband."
