The Philip Levine Democratic gubernatorial campaign highlighted some of the notable names on his latest fundraising reports. From a release:
Sheryl Sandberg, a native Floridian, is an American technology executive, activist, and author. She is the chief operating officer (COO) of Facebook and founder of Leanin.org.
Romero Britto is an internationally known neo-pop artist, painter, serigrapher, and sculptor.
Mike Fernandez is Cuban-American businessman, philanthropist and passionate supporter for compassionate immigration reforms.
Mickey Arison is an Israeli-American businessman and chairman of Carnival Corporation, the world's largest cruise operator.
Joe Falk is one of Florida's leading LGBT rights leaders and philanthropist.
Desmond Howard is a former National Football League (NFL) player and is one of only four players to win both the Heisman Trophy and Super Bowl MVP:
Colleen & Richard Fain are well-respected philanthropists in South Florida. Richard serves as Chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd.
Jack Sullivan has served as Chief Executive Officer of Broadway Video Entertainment since 2002, the lead production firm that handles notable shows, including Saturday Night Live.
Donny Deutsch is an American advertising executive and television personality. He is the former host of the CNBC talk show The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch.
One name not on the list? Leonard Blavatnik, a billionaire, Ukrainian-born British-American investor, and philanthropist who has donated $200,000 to Levine's committee. Members of the Blavatnik family are significant Miami Beach developers, but in a Democratic primarythis is not an ideal time tout support from billionaires anywhere in the vicinity of Russia. The campaign says it announced his support earlier this year.
Gwen Graham, the former congresswoman who is Levine's main rival for the nomination has about half of what Levine does in her campaign accounts, but her campaign noted that no other candidate for governor has as many individual donors, more than 11,500 so far.
