Gov. Rick Scott will jump in the U.S. Senate race on Monday and appears ready to visit other cities during the week, including a stop to Hialeah on Tuesday.

The Miami-Dade GOP on Saturday circulated an invitation for an event on Tuesday afternoon. And Lee County Republicans expect a visit from Scott at 2:15 p.m. Monday.

Meantime, Florida Democrats on Saturday held voter registration event across the state under the theme "Stop Scott."

"Floridians are mobilizing against Rick Scott – because they know what another 6 years of his leadership would look like: more tax cuts for the wealthy, an economy that only works for the top 1% and the death of public education." said FDP Chair Terrie Rizzo.

Counties that held #StopScott events on Saturday include: Seminole;Palm Beach; Okaloosa; Miami-Dade; Manatee; and Sarasota.

Scott's campaign has not yet said where Monday's event will take place but it will be shown on Facebook Live.
