Florida’s primary election date is Tuesday, Aug. 28. Voters will choose nominees for the state’s biggest races, including U.S. Senator and Florida governor.

To help Floridians make the most informed decisions at the polls, the Tampa Bay Times surveyed candidates for the biggest federal, state and local races on all sorts of issues.

Use the Times “Know Your Candidate" voter guide to search for your candidates by address and party. The candidates you are eligible to vote for in the primary will appear below. Then, tap through the questions and answers to see what they think about the biggest issues, like gun rights, opioids and education.

(This project uses Google’s Civic Information API for voter precinct information. For your official sample ballot, visit the Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco or Hernando board of elections.)
