Busch Gardens and SeaWorld have extended their summer flash sale of 50 percent off admission through Sunday, a savings of more than $35.

Tickets to both theme parks normally start at $84.99 online. However, visitors can get single-day entry for $49 at Tampa's Busch Gardens and $52 at SeaWorld Orlando through Sunday for use through July 14. They may also add a visit to the Aquatica water park for $20 more at SeaWorld or add all-day dining for $30 more at Busch Gardens.

For the longer term, the Busch Gardens Fun Card is on sale for $65, a 30 percent savings. This ticket option provides unlimited admission with some blocked-out dates through Dec. 31. SeaWorld even offers 30 percent off on its annual pass for $127.32, good for 12 months from the date of purchase with free parking and shopping discounts.

The ticket deals arrive in time for Busch Gardens' annual Summer Nights series, which allows visitors to ride coasters in the dark and see live entertainment and fireworks each Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening through Aug. 11. The park also released a new Summer Nights food menu that includes a "firework" ice cream sundae in a jar, buffalo ranch popcorn and a churro sundae. Visit buschgardenstampa.com for details.

Back at SeaWorld, its summer entertainment lineup called Electric Nights runs through Sept. 1, featuring nighttime animal shows and a fireworks display that combines music, fountains and light for an extra spectacle. Find details at seaworld.com/orlando.
