Not only is this man a hero, but so are the men who fought beside him. It's because of soldiers like them that America is the GREATEST country on Earth. He deserves the Medal of Honor. The sacrifice he made shall never be forgotten. God bless.

I salute you
I am proud to have at least had the honor of knowing SFC Smith through this narrative. I at least am honored to know he and I both served in the Gulf together.

I leave to sign my papers for the Army in about 2 hrs. By reading this story I know I'am making the right decision in my life. I 'm going into Engineering also and hope that the persons in charge of me will be as heroic and caring as SFC Smith. God bless you and your family. Josh Williams
