Here is the latest Florida sports news from The Associated Press

TORONTO (AP) — Blake Snell pitched five perfect innings and then was pulled, Michael Perez hit his first career home run and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays 7-0. Making his second start since spending time on the disabled list because of shoulder fatigue, Snell threw 47 pitches. The All-Star lefty struck out six. Reliever Jake Faria came on to begin the sixth and gave up an infield single to leadoff batter Luke Maile.

MIAMI (AP) — Zack Wheeler won his fifth straight start, pitching seven solid innings and sending the New York Mets over the Miami Marlins 6-2. Wheeler allowed four hits and two runs. His scoreless-inning streak ended at 23 when he gave up a two-run homer to Miguel Rojas with two outs in the seventh.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Former Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley is declining to say what, if anything, coach Urban Meyer told him about Zach Smith's domestic violence arrest in 2009. The Associated Press asked the Gators to provide details regarding how Meyer and his bosses handled Smith's arrest nearly a decade ago. But Foley declined comment through a university spokesman. Foley is currently Florida's emeritus AD.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida State is taking its preseason practices off campus. The Seminoles will travel to Bradenton on Sunday and will have four days of practice at IMG Academy starting on Monday. This isn't the first time that IMG Academy has hosted a Power Five program. Michigan used their facilities for part of their spring practices in 2016

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The NL East-leading Philadelphia Phillies have acquired first baseman Justin Bour from the Miami Marlins for a minor league player. Bour is batting .227 with 19 homers and 54 RBIs. He's expected to be a pinch-hitter in Philadelphia where Carlos Santana is the starting first baseman in the first year of a $60 million, three-year contract.
