Board & Brush Creative Studio opens in Wesley Chapel

WESLEY CHAPEL — Growing up, Brittany Miller and her mom shared a love of drawing and crafting.

Miller went on to earn a Fine Arts degree from the University of Tampa and then became a teacher.

After a friend told her about Board & Brush Creative Studio, a franchise based in Hartland, Wisc., Miller immediately fell in love with the concept and she and her husband, Matt Miller, decided to open a studio in Wesley Chapel. They celebrated the grand opening on Nov. 2.

“This combines my first passion, working with my hands, with my second passion, helping people,” Brittany Miller said. “Everyone has it in them to create something amazing and be proud of their accomplishment and I’ve always been the kind of person who loves encouraging that.”

Board & Brush offers DIY workshops where attendees can create custom wooden signs of varying sizes. There are over 100 designs available, and new designs are released at the beginning of every month.

During class, instructors lead everyone through the entire DIY process, including distressing the wood, sanding, assembling the boards and choosing stain and paint options.

Both public and private workshops are available for ages 16 and up and can booked online. Wine and beer are available for puchase during workshops.

Board & Brush Creative Studio is at 4843 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. For more information, call (813) 778-0204, or visit boardandbrush.com/wesleychapel.
