Countryside placekicker William Griswold is ranked as the No. 1 kicker in the state by prokicker.com after a strong performance during Ray Guy Academy kicking camps this summer.
At a camp in Detroit, Griswold had a kickoff of 71 yards and a hangtime of 3.83 seconds on a kickoff.
Griswold, a senior, is a three-year starter. In 2007, he set the school's single-season PAT record with 37. His 94 career points leads the team in scoring.
He is getting interest from several schools and hopes to join an impressive list of former Countryside kickers that have played in college, including Jon Peatty (Miami), Chase Hobby (Navy), Zach Hobby (Delaware), Josh Martinez (Memphis) and Pete Kontodiakos (Colorado State).
