Springstead sophomore Megan Berube broke par by three strokes at Ocala Palms Golf and Country Club to win low medalist honors.

Berube, second at districts a year ago, fired 3-under 69 to qualify for next week’s regionals.

Other than Berube, local golfers had a rough afternoon in Ocala. North Suncoast teams were shut out in their quest to advance.

Lake Weir won the 2A-6 team title with 401. Lecanto, at 404, placed second, and Ocala Vanguard was third with 411.
