St. Petersburg’s boys and girls each finished fourth in the Class 3A, District 6 meet Saturday at the Sarasota YMCA.

The Green Devils’ Jessica Piper won the 200 individual medley and finished second in the 100 back, missing out on a title in the event by a fraction of a second.

Marissa Marckese was St. Petersburg’s other girls champion, taking first in the 50 free.

In the boys meet, Ricky Owens won diving for the Green Devils.

“We have some young swimmers, but I thought they did well in such a tough and fast meet,” St. Petersburg coach Sandy Heidt said.
