River Ridge doubles partners Tijana Subotic and Jordyn Garcia made it to the semifinals of the individual doubles bracket at the Class 3A state tennis finals at Lake Brantley High in Altamonte Springs on Tuesday before bowing out in a close, three-set match to Winter Haven’s Meredith Mancini and Abigail Martinez.

Subotic and Garcia were given a bye into the quarterfinals, where they defeated Navarre’s Leah Rojecki and Jordan Grissom 7-6 (7-5), 6-4. Subotic earned a measure of revenge against Rojecki, who knocked the River Ridge senior out of the singles draw on Monday in straight sets.

In the semis, Subotic and Garcia rallied from a set down to force a do-or-die third set but eventually fell 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
