Four more Sunlake players have signed to play college football, Seahawks coach Bill Browning said Wednesday morning.

WR Jamal Jones and LB Paul Scott have signed with West Virginia Wesleyan, a Division II school in Buckhannon.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Jones led the Seahawks with 557 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns last fall. At defensive back, he added two interceptions, a sack and seven passes defensed.

Scott was listed at 5-foot-11, 225 pounds last season and lined up at defensive end and fullback. He was tied for the team lead with five sacks and racked up 63 tackles.

OL Canon Clark is headed to Northwood College, a D-II school in Michigan. The 6-foot-1, 275-pound Clark was a key cog in Sunlake’s physical offensive line and was a first-team all-North Suncoast selection.

ATH Mike Lopez will play at Sterling College, an NAIA program in Sterling, Kan. The 5-foot-8, 170-pounder rushed for 300 yards and four TDs last fall and added three passes defensed and three sacks. He’ll play slot receiver in college.

Sunlake will have a signing ceremony for the players on Friday.
