A half-dozen Sickles seniors -- including three football players -- formally signed with colleges today at a brief after-school ceremony in the library.
The most notable was boys basketball standout Jordan Davis, who became the second Hillsborough County player in six days to sign a Division I letter of intent, giving his signature to New Jersey-based Monmouth University.
Joining him were Gryphons receiver Chris Nahat (I-AA Sacred Heart), two-way lineman Eric "Moose" Taris (NAIA Midland Lutheran) and defensive tackle Ian Hopkins (Butler Community College).
Also signing: baseball standout Tripp Merrell (NAIA Webber International) and girls swim star Cristina DeCisneros (Division I St. Peter's College in New Jersey).
