Academy at the Lakes senior forward Yvanessa Vincent has signed with the University of Maine at Machias, Wildcats athletic director Tom Haslam said Wednesday.

Vincent averaged 11.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game last season while shooting 49 percent from the field. Her double double in the region final helped AATL advance to the Class 2A state semifinals.

She was a first-team all-North Suncoast selection.

The school will also hold another signing ceremony later this month.

Senior RB Jarrett Harvey has verbally committed to play NAIA football at Webber, Wildcats coach John Castelamare said.

Harvey was an all-state selection at the six-man program after rushing for 2,450 yards. He also played linebacker and defensive back for the Wildcats.

Harvey plans to sign n April 13 and will be the school’s first football player to sign a college scholarship.
