According to Tarpon Springs football coach George Kotis, more and more schools are becoming interested in Spongers OL/DL Clay Paino.

“Holy Cross is likely to offer,” Kotis said. “All the Ivy League schools like him and Stanford has been asking for more tape. Duke also is interested. Things are starting to heat up.”

On the field, the 6-foot-4, 275-pound Paino is a big reason why the Spongers have two 1,000-yard rushers this fall.

Off of it, he carries a 4.2 GPA.

Paino has a brother playing at Penn. Not surprisingly, that is one of the school he’s interested in.
