A pair of bay area hoopsters have been chosen for the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Classic girls basketball game at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach on Saturday.
Nicole Adams from Gulf will play for the North All-Star Team. Adams, a 5-foot-10 shooting guard who is headed to Winthrop, averaged 29.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.7 steals a game for the Buccaneers, who advanced to the Class 4A region semifinals.
St. Petersburg's Kamika Idom was also selected for the South All-Star Team. Idom, also a 5-foot-10 guard, is headed to Florida International in the fall.
Additionally, Sickles girls basketball coach Mark Key will coach the South All-Star Team.
The FACA All-Star Classic matches the North All-Stars versus the South All-Stars at noon.
