The injury report keeps getting worse for Admiral Farragut.

Cortavious Givens, the Blue Jackets' top running back, is out for the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in knee during last week's 12-10 loss to Canterbury. Givens will have surgery Sept. 28.

"I feel terrible for this young man," Admiral Farragut coach Chris Miller said.

Givens rushed for 160 yards in three games. In the two games when he was fully healthy, the Blue Jackets were 2-0 and averaged 46 points per game. Toddrick Macon will now handle the bulk of the rushing load.

Admiral Farragut also is missing receiver/safety Rayshawn Jenkins, who is out 3-4 more weeks with a fractured rib. The Blue Jackets should get back receiver Alvin Cunningham for Friday's game against Keswick. Cunningham missed last week's game with turf toe.
