TARPON SPRINGS -- Talented Tarpon Springs RB Adrian Golden might have 347 rushing yards and three TDs on only 24 carries, but two of his backfield mates have bragging rights over Golden in at least one area.

According to Spongers coach George Kotis, Ladarius Only and Darius Daniels are both faster than Golden, who he described as being more of a “shimmy and shake” player.

“Only is the fastest one,” Kotis said. “Then Daniels, Golden and (Josiah) Fisk.”

According to our stats, Only hasn’t carried the ball yet, but Daniels already has amassed 196 yards  on 18 carries.

“We’ve got a great 1-2 punch,” Kotis said.

Kotis also has faith in Only and Fisk.

“We’re going to use them all,” Kotis said. “There’s not ever going to be a game when one of them gets 30 carries.”
