Adrian Golden to skip one all-star game, play in another

Talented Tarpon Springs RB Adrian Golden said Monday night he has a hip pointer and that’s why he decided against playing in Wednesday’s Pinellas All Star Football Classic.

“It still hurts a little,” Golden said.

Golden does, however, plan to play in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star Game on Dec. 22 in Sebring. He thinks he’ll be healthy by then.

Golden rushed for 1,522 yards this fall for the 10-3 Spongers.

In recent weeks, several junior colleges have expressed strong interest.
