Colby Robinson, a two-year starter at quarterback for Admiral Farragut, has committed to Stetson University in DeLand, according to his father, Mark.
Robinson, who transferred to AFA after two years at Clearwater Central Catholic, threw for 1,730 yards and 24 touchdowns as a senior. As a junior, he led the Blue Jackets to their first Class 2A state championship appearance. That season he threw for 497 yards and six touchdowns while splitting time with Kyle Craichy.
Robinson was homeschooled and played football only at AFA.
Stetson has not had football since 1956, but begins play again this season as a Division I FCS school in the Pioneer Football League. Members of the Pioneer Football League do not offer athletic scholarships.
