Tonight, our thoughts and prayers are with former Alonso pitcher Tommy Toledo, who’s now with the Florida Gators. Toledo, the Gators’ starting pitcher Sunday against Charleston Southern, was hit in the face by a line drive during the game. It was not immediately known how serious the injury is, but the Gainesville Sun reported that after spending time on the ground Toledo was taken to a local hospital. “Following the game, coach Kevin O'Sullivan said he didn't have an immediate update on the sophomore right-hander's condition,” according to the Sun. Hopefully, more will be known of Toledo’s condition Monday.
