Alonso senior RB Ish Witter has orally committed to Missouri, Witter announced Thursday evening on Twitter.

Witter is one of Tampa Bay’s top recruits. The 5-foot-9, 190-pound speedster is a three-star prospect with offers from Syracuse and Rutgers, among others. He’s ranked among the country’s top 100 running backs nationally by 247Sports.

Through four games, Witter is one of Hillsborough County’s leading rushers (360 yards, 5.8 yards per carry, three touchdowns) for the 2-2 Ravens.

As a junior, he rushed for 902 yards and six touchdowns, despite being hobbled late in the season with an ankle injury. He entered the season at No. 29 in the HomeTeam 100 list of the area’s top players.

Oral commitments are non-binding until recruits sign national letters of intent in February.

Witter is the second Raven to make a college decision this week, after lineman Gary Brown committed to Georgia Tech.
