Alonso's Shortt signing with Eckerd

Alonso softball player Kaitlin Shortt has committed to play at Division II Eckerd and will participate in a signing ceremony Thursday at the school.

Short, a pitcher, chose Eckerd over UT and UCF.

As a junior, she was 2-3 with a 0.88 ERA for the Ravens.

Short plans to major in pre-med or chemistry.
