Anclote is looking for a new girls basketball coach.

Aaron Harris has resigned to take a football coaching job at Alonzo and Tracy Mourning High School in Miami, Sharks athletic director Heidi Michaels said Monday morning. Harris’ last day at Anclote is today.

Harris, a former Penn State football player and Anclote’s JV football coach, took the head girls basketball coaching job in October. The Sharks finished 6-15 this year.

“It’s a great loss for us,” Michaels said. “He has a lot of passion and intensity on the field.”

Anclote has already posted the positions. The school hopes to fill both jobs “as soon as we can,” Michaels said.
