Anclote’s Chris Gregory Schulman and Gulf’s Lexy Schulman, two of Pasco County’s top athletes, are moving to South Carolina, according to their father, Paul Schulman, who accepted a job as an ROTC teacher.

“It’s a little sudden and bittersweet, especially for Lexy because she’s been around a lot of the girls she’s played with for the past 8-9 years,” Paul Schulman said. “But it’s a good move and I’m sure everyone will adapt.”

Chris Schulman, a receiver/defensive back who transferred from Gulf, had 11 catches for 130 yards for the Sharks last season. He also averaged 15.6 points as a starting guard in basketball.

Anclote coach Matt Wicks said he had not heard about Chris Schulman moving to another state.

“That’s news to me,” Wicks said. “I had no clue. I haven’t seen him in two weeks. But it wouldn’t surprise me considering this will be his third school in the last three years.”

Lexy Schulman, a point guard, averaged 9.1 points and 9.8 assists for the Buccaneers, who were 28-3 last season.
