Brandon McWhorter became Anclote’s first boys basketball player to land a college scholarship when he signed with PHCC on Thursday, Sharks coach Jason Szymanski said.
McWhorter was one of Pasco County’s top players this winter. The first team all-conference guard averaged 18 points per game as a senior and finished his high school career with more than 1,000 career points.
He scored in double figures in all but three games this season and was a second-team all-North Suncoast selection.
