David Emmanuel, Pasco RB (6-foot, 180 pounds)

The latest: Emmanuel said North Dakota State and Appalachian State are the two schools recruiting him most heavily with less than two weeks before signing day. He said Thursday that he plans to visit Appalachian State this weekend and North Dakota State next weekend. Emmanuel is still in touch with FAU and Memphis but said he hasn’t heard much from Rutgers lately. “I’m still open-minded,” Emmanuel said.

Offers: Rutgers, FAU, Memphis

Last season: Emmanuel ranked Tampa Bay’s top eight rushers as a senior. He rushed for 1,363 yards and averaged almost 10 yards per carry while scoring 17 touchdowns. That followed a standout junior season (1,325 yards, 22 TDs).

They say: Rivals and Scout both rank Emmanuel as a two-star recruit.

We say: Emmanuel ended his career as one of the best running backs in Pasco history and is among the North Suncoast’s all-time touchdown leaders. He earned first-team all-Suncoast honors as a junior and senior.
