Matt Breida, RB, Nature Coast (5-foot-10, 168 pounds)

The latest: Ball State became the latest MAC program to offer Breida after the Cardinals offered him Tuesday during their trip to his first day of spring practice, Sharks coach Charles Liggett said. Ball State wants the two-way player as a cornerback. Michigan and USF also stopped by the school to inquire about the dynamic junior and his teammate, sophomore DE/ATH Rohan Blackwood.

Offers: Akron, Toledo, UMass, Georgia Southern, Ball State

Last season: Breida rushed for 20 touchdowns and more than 1,600 yards. He also had one of the best games in county history, a 355-yard outburst against Central.

Bottom line: Breida is a speedy, shifty talent who could play running back or cornerback in college – as shown by his latest offer. He was an all-North Suncoast selection last fall and is poised for a big senior season.
