After Alonso officially wraps up its regular season Friday against Hillsborough, OF Joe Gainey will cap his senior day by signing a letter of intent with Division II Coker (S.C.) College. The Ravens (14-7), the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Class 8A, District 7 tournament, have primarily used Gainey as a pinch runner, and he has scored eight runs and stolen six bases on the year.
Gainey is the third Raven to sign this year, joining OF Ryan Valdez (FSU) and P Nathan Hahn (USF).
