Baseball: Alonso P Nick Alonso signs with HCC

Alonso P Nick Alonso has signed a letter of intent with Hillsborough Community College, his mother, Jennifer Alonso Villa, said Friday. Alonso pitched 39.1 innings for the Ravens (15-8) this year, recording a 3-0 record with a 2.14 ERA and 33 strikeouts.

He picked up a win in a  Feb. 24 contest against the eventual Class 8A, District 7 champion, Wharton, as he limited the Wildcats to two hits in five innings while striking out four as the Ravens won 4-2.
