Baseball: Bloomingdale 2B Nolan Schrenker commits to Newberry College

Bloomingdale 2B Nolan Schrenker committed to Division II Newberry (S.C.) College Wednesday, he said via text message.

Schrenker, the leadoff hitter for the Bulls (22-4), hit .370 with a team-high nine doubles and 30 runs scored. Schrenker also hit a triple, a home run, drove in 17 runs and stole six bases. He was named to the 2012 Saladino all-tournament team and given the best hitter award as the Bulls finished as runnerup.

Schrenker joins his middle infield partner Richie Martin (Florida) and OF/P Austin Wilson (Eastern Michigan) as college commits from Bloomingdale.
