Calvary Christian's Matheu Nelson may only be a freshman, but he has already made his college choice. Nelson, a catcher for the Warriors, has committed to Florida State.

Nelson was a varsity starter this season and hit .392 with 12 doubles and 32 RBIs. He also caught a pitching staff that finished the season with a 1.83 earned run average.

Nelson would be the second Pinellas County catcher to be on the FSU roster. Northeast's Bret Maxwell is a freshman reserve catcher for the Seminoles.
