East Lake pitcher Brad Deppermann has committed to the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, according to coach Dan Genna.

Deppermann emerged as an ace for the Eagles in his junior year. The right-hander was 7-1 with a 1.20 ERA in 42 innings. He also played third base when he wasn't pitching.

Deppermann is the second East Lake player to commit to a Division I school. Shortstop Keegan Maronpot is committed to Wake Forest.

UNF is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference and was 40-19 last season.
