After three years — including the first winning season in Freedom's nine-year history — coach A.J. Leppla has resigned, he confirmed Thursday.

Leppla went 34-37 overall, and finished 15-10 this season as the Class 7A, District 9 runnerup, advancing to the region quarterfinals.

"I'm looking into new opportunities," Leppla said. "I do wish the program the best, and I want it to do well.
