Baseball: Jefferson INF Jacob Lopez signs with St. Pete College

Jefferson INF Jacob Lopez has signed with St. Pete College, Dragons coach Pop Cuesta announced Thursday.

Lopez, a 5-foot-8, 155-pound senior, drew a team-high 16 walks and went 11-for-66 (.167) on the season with 17 runs scored, five RBIs and four doubles. He was a perfect 14-for-14 in stolen bases, which led the team. 

Lopez is the third Hillsborough County player to sign with St. Pete this spring, joining Freedom's Eric and Kyle Schindler.
